The Idle Control Valve uses a return spring made of selected spring steel wire with force treatment, and the Idle Speed Control Valve ensures that after one hundred thousand cycles the spring constant change remains below five percent, keeping the plunger return reliable. After removing the old Idle Air Control Valve, clean the mounting flange surface with a plastic scraper; place the included gasket onto the flange, align the bolt holes, hand-start the screws, then tighten the IAC Valve in a diagonal sequence to the torque value shown on the housing.
