The Idle Control Valve features an internal debris screen that captures particles before they reach the valve seat area, while the Fuel Injection Idle Air Control Valve prevents jamming from fuel system contaminants, extending service intervals. After removing the old IAC Valve, clean the mounting flange surface with a plastic scraper; place the included gasket onto the flange, align the bolt holes, hand-start the screws, then tighten the Idle Air Control Valve in a diagonal sequence to the torque value shown on the housing.
