18" Inch - 457mm Monkey Tail Drop Down Garage Door Bolt & Square Keep This monkey tail drop down bolt is ideal for gates and garage doors, the extra long handle makes operation easier with less bending down, perfect for the elderly and those with back trouble. It is supplied with a durable black enamel backplate and staple, and bright zinc plated bolt. Monkey tail bolts are so called because the handle resembles a monkeys tail, and the button end helps to grip the handle. This garage door drop down bolt can be fitted to the bottom of the slave leaf of side hung garage doors, and can also be used with heavy duty utility doors and gates etc. This heavy duty drop down garage bolt has an overall length of 18" inches (46cm) with a maximum projection of 40mm. The mounting plate is 7" inches high (177mm) by 2" inch (50mm) wide. The surface mounted keep is 48mm square.
