Achillea 'Cassis' produces long-lasting, flat-headed red flowers that are excellent for cutting and highly attractive to pollinators. Sow seeds on the surface of pre-watered compost without covering, keep at around 20°C and moist for 1–2 weeks until germination. When seedlings are large enough, pot on into 8cm pots and grow at a minimum of 10°C. Harden off for 2–3 weeks before planting out after the risk of frost has passed, spacing plants about 40cm apart. Cut back in autumn after dieback and divide clumps every 3–4 years.
