The outer shield ring is bevelled to offer poor grip \nfor twisting. The hardened steel material combined with the beveled \nshape and free swiveling when properly installed makes obtaining a tight\n grip on the security ring virtually impossible. The retainer plate on the back \nof the door prevents the cylinder being levered out in the event of a \nchisel type tool being driven into the stile behind the shield ring. Use\n the Adams Rite Maximum Security 4043 Cylinder Guard in place of the \nstandard trim ring collar supplied with most threaded cylinders.
