Roberson Brunswick Black Varnish White Spirit Based 250ml For Etching Intaglio

This 250ml tin of Roberson Brunswick Black varnish is designed to be used as part of the intaglio printmaking process of etching, as an alternative to Stopping Out Varnish. It is white-spirit based and slower-drying than normal Stopping Out varnish.\n\nFor a full description of the etching process see this graphic, created by Carola Barnaba at the DensityDesign Research Lab.\n\nIt can also be used for adding a shade to gold leaf, the Brunswick Black would need to but mixed with varnish as a tint and then can be applied over the leaf. It is not suitable to use alone as white spirit would remove it.
