Primrose Agapanthus Midnight Star African Lily 9Cm Pot Perennial Plant from B&Q
Primrose
Keep well-watered during the growing season, applying a balanced liquid fertiliser each month from spring to flowering. Towards the end of September ease back on the watering and feeding of plants in containers to allow the foliage to toughen up. In cold, exposed areas protect the crown of the plant with a deep, dry winter mulch. Pots and Packaging Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery. Preparation The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage. Plant on Arrival Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above. Position: full sun Soil: fertile, moist, well-drained soil (or John Innes no. 3 compost for containers) Rate of growth: average Flowering period: August to September Hardiness: frost hardy (may need protection in winter) Eventual Height:0.6m-0.9m Eventual Spread: 0.3m-0.6m Toxicity: Harmful to humans and pets if eaten Deep blue flower clusters. This beautiful African lily produces rich and brooding colour in mid to late summer when its rounded heads of midnight blue, trumpet shaped flowers erupt from bud. These appear on reasonably tall, upright stems from amongst the strap-shaped, deciduous leaves. A star performer.
