The excellent 1/76/OO scale Oxford Diecast \""Omnibus\"" Leyland Tiger Cub with Saunders Roe (SARO) body work in the livery of Trent buses. \nThe bus is reg. no. FCH 16, & is on Route 34 to Derby.\nOxford says: Another\n classic single deck bus in Oxford\u2019s 1:76 range, a replica of the \nSaunders-Roe bodied Leyland Tiger Cub, a lightweight underfloor-engined \nchassis manufactured by Leyland between 1952 and 1970. Most were built as\n 44-45 seat buses with a smaller number as coaches. Modified from the \nolder Leyland Royal Tiger, the Cub was popular because of its lighter \nweight, less expensive price and with a revised specification than the \nTiger.\nIts newly designed lightweight high straight frame had a \nvertical radiator set just behind the front axle and it was powered by a Gardiner diesel engine.
