Marshalls Garden Fennel 'Bronze' - Foeniculum Vulgare 'Purpureum' - Purple
Marshalls Garden
Three 9cm pot-grown bronze fennel plants (Foeniculum vulgare 'Purpureum') - hardy perennial with fine feathery bronze-purple foliage and large late-summer heads of tiny yellow flowers. Grows to around 1.8m, prefers full sun or part shade and well-draining soil rich in organic matter. Low-maintenance and pollinator-friendly; bees love its nectar. Leaves and seeds are edible – seeds have a milder aniseed flavour useful in baking, salads, pasta, rice dishes, and for making fennel tea. To prevent self-seeding, remove flower heads after blooming and cut back to 30cm when spent.
