It grows as a rounded tree or large shrub to about 6 m (20 ft), making it a striking yet manageable choice for smaller gardens. Thrives in full sun or part shade in moist but well-drained neutral or acid soils and requires little maintenance; water well during establishment and trim in summer if needed.
