Marshalls Garden

Marshalls Garden Prunus incisa 'Kojo-no-mai' is a compact, bushy flowering cherry ideal for small gardens, balconies and containers. It blooms from March to April with delicate white blossoms blushed with pink that attract early pollinators, then develops fiery orange and red autumn foliage and a striking zig‑zag winter silhouette. Hardy to H4 and recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, this variety reaches about 2.5m high and wide at maturity. Supplied as a 2‑year‑old bare‑root specimen on Colt rootstock, it prefers sun or part shade and moist, well‑drained slightly acidic soil. Soak roots before planting, position in a hole twice the width of the root system, firm and water well; water regularly during the first year and mulch to retain moisture.
