Raspberry 'Imara' from Marshalls Garden is an early autumn-fruiting primocane variety, ready to harvest from the end of July and producing fruit through to October. It yields abundant, large firm bright red berries with a sweet flavour, giving up to 1.8kg of fruit per plant. Plants are strong and vigorous with well-branched canes and small spines; fruit is easy to pick and has an excellent shelf life. Hardy (H4, -10 to -5°C) and perennial, Imara grows well in a wide range of garden conditions and is ideal for walls, fences or a vegetable plot. Plant in slightly acidic, fertile, well-drained, moisture-retentive soil; expected height 1.0–1.5m.
