Polka is a late primocane raspberry that fruits on both new and old wood, cropping from August to November. Recommended by the Royal Horticultural Society, it delivers very high yields of sweet, quality fruit and performs well on poorer soils with good resistance to mildew. Self-fertile, pollinator-friendly and low maintenance, Polka suits pots, patios, borders, raised beds and small or cottage gardens. Hardy to H4 (-10 to -5°C), perennial and growing 1.5-2.5m, it prefers slightly acidic, fertile, well-drained, moisture-retentive soil.
