Main June-bearing heritage variety from the late 1930s, Cambridge Favourite produces reliable crops of medium-sized, light-red, super-sweet strawberries in June and July. It offers excellent resistance to phytophthora and fusarium crown and root rot and performs well across a wide range of soils and conditions. Versatile and easy to grow, it suits pots, patios, small gardens, borders, vegetable plots, raised beds, grow bags, hanging baskets and greenhouses. Perennial and edible, compact in habit (growth height 0.1-0.5m) and best in fertile, well-drained soil rich in organic matter (pH 5.5-6.8).
