Compact wisteria ideal for smaller walls, fences or containers, producing clusters of purple flowers in its first year. 'Amethyst Falls' is a hardy, pollinator-friendly climber that performs in full sun to part shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. Supplied as a 9cm plant, it should be planted at a 45° angle about 45cm from a structure, in a hole twice as deep and three times as wide as the rootball; mix in soil improver for heavy soils and add plant feed before backfilling. Water regularly to keep compost moist, feed during the growing season and prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth.
