USB to Serial Adapter Cable for connecting RS-232 devices such as terminals printers and scanners to modern computers with USB Type A sockets. The FTDI chip offers support for legacy devices with modern computers. Commonly used to connect a serial null modem to a PC without a 9pin serial port (e.g. for updating satellite receivers). Compatible with USBv1.1 or USBv2.0.
