As the name suggests, cedarwood essential oil is extracted from cedar trees. More specifically, our oil is steam distilled from the needles, leaves, bark and berries of the Atlas Cedar. The Atlas Cedar is so-called because it is native to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Vast forests of Atlas Cedar are found in the areas of higher rainfall, allowing great choice when selecting the finest base ingredients for distillation. After distillation, our cedarwood essential oil is gently poured into coloured glass bottles to ensure it maintains its beneficial properties. As a member of the pine family, the scent of cedarwood essential oil is naturally warm, sweet and woody. It is believed by many to have uplifting and reviving properties.
