Individually hand turned. Ebonised boxwood and boxwood. Weighted and felted. 3.25-inch (83 mm) king. Perfect for an 18 or 19-inch (45 - 50 cms) board. These chess pieces require an extensive crafting process due to their rounded silhouettes, each of which must be individually hand-turned. Additionally, the ebonising treatment takes several weeks to complete, making their production significantly more time-consuming and labour-intensive than that of most other chess pieces. Weighted well, with green flocked bases, these pieces are the perfect match for our 18 or 19-inch (45 - 50 cm) chessboards.
