Despite their miniature size, nothing is lost in the way of detail or quality in the crafting of these pieces. Carved from solid quality ebony and boxwood, the Coronation chessmen are a diminutive Staunton set, making a monumentally bold statement. The finial on the 2.36-inch king and the facial expressions on the knights are as detailed as any of the larger sets of pieces available. This set of pieces enjoys two additional queens for promotion. We are presenting these weighted and felted luxury chess pieces in their own presentation box with a plush burgundy felt-covered foam insert so that each piece has its own compartment to keep it fully protected whilst not in play. We have matched these pieces with a number of our chessboards to create several different looks.
