Bring a touch of the Mediterranean to your garden with this pair of YouGarden Italian Cypress Trees (Cupressus sempervirens). These elegant, slender, columnar evergreens are perfect for creating formal avenues, striking focal points, or as a living screen. Their dense, dark green foliage remains vibrant year-round. Once established, they are drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, thriving in full sun and well-drained soil. Ideal for the UK climate when planted in a sheltered location, they can also be grown in large containers on patios or terraces. Supplied as a pair of established trees, approximately 90-120cm tall in 20cm pots, ready for planting. They can reach a mature height of 10m and a width of 1.5m over 20 years. Pair with lavender or rosemary for a classic Mediterranean look, or underplant with colourful perennials for stunning contrast. Planting Advice: Choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil. For containers, use a soil-based potting compost. Dig a hole larger than the root ball, incorporating organic matter and mycorrhizal fungi. Plant at the same level as in the pot, firm the soil, and water thoroughly. Water regularly for the first two growing seasons; established trees are drought-tolerant. Container plants require regular watering. Mulch after planting to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune lightly several times a year to maintain shape and density.
