Our seaweed soil enhancer is 100% natural dried, granular seaweed which is sustainably harvested and processed in the UK and produced from Ascophyllum Nodosum (the bubbly seaweed you pop on the beach). How does the soil enhancer work? As a soil enhancer, it improves the soil structure and increases organic matter. seaweed contains several plant nutrients, including nitrogen, potassium, phosphate and magnesium plus it is full of natural hormones which help stimulate plant growth, improving germination and increasing yield. As the seaweed degrades, it enriches the soil with natural nutrients for improved plant health. As a bonus this seaweed will also deter slugs, the texture feels spiky and uncomfortable to slugs, providing an effective deterrent. How to use the garden soil enhancer Add a layer of seaweed to the top of the soil around your plants, in beds or planters. Apply 2/3mm deep surrounding individual plants at least 50mm wide. Water well, and reapply as necessary. Replenish every 3-4 weeks or as required. If using to deter slugs ensure no leaves are overhanging the seaweed.
