Made from pottery clay, this baking dish replicates a traditional brick bread oven, with the lid trapping steam inside to maintain an even temperature throughout the duration of baking, and create a thick, crispy crust. What's more, the dish features a ribbed base to prevent bread from sticking. \nTo use, simply place the proved dough inside the vessel and bake. Prior to using, the baker requires seasoning before first use: 1) Fully immerse in warm water and soak for 30 minutes. 2) Dry naturally before applying a coat of vegetable oil to the inside of the base and lid. 3) Place into a cold oven and bake at 200\u00B0C for 20 minutes until the oil is fully absorbed. 4) Remove from the oven and allow to cool.\nMade of pottery clay, terracotta vessels can be used for slow cooking, stewing, baking and broiling because of its extraordinary properties of retaining warmt.
