This line opened in 1865 and was the first ever line to be preserved as a heritage railway by volunteers. The railway has another claim-to-fame; as well as being the first ever recognised narrow-gauge passenger carrying line in Britain, it was the inspiration for the fictional Skarloey Railway featured in the Reverend Awdry\u2019s Thomas the Tank Engine books.Please Note: A Plastic Glue will be required to complete this kit.
