This listing is for a heavy-duty, general-use waterproof tarpaulin sheet. Tarpaulins are categorized based on their weight, measured in grams per square meter (gsm). The higher the grams, the heavier the tarpaulin. They can range from a lightweight 50 gsm to a lorry curtain at 600 gsm. This specific tarpaulin is rated at 200 gsm, making it durable and waterproof. To enhance its lifespan, this tarpaulin has built-in UV resistance to protect it from sunlight degradation. Standard features include strengthened corners and eyelets placed every 1m. It is available in an attractive neutral gray color, blending well with garden surroundings. Although intended for general use, it's not suitable for use as roofing, temporary or otherwise, as wind can get underneath and potentially rip out the eyelets, damaging the tarpaulin. To avoid this issue when using it on the ground, the item must be securely tied down with elasticated bungee rope threaded through the eyelets and secured in multiple places to distribute the stress load evenly. Please note that we offer this item as a cut size, not a finished size. The difference accounts for the amount required to make the hem, so the actual item may be up to 3% smaller.
