Offering a firm, yet comfortable support, the Tranquillity 4600 divan bed consists of traditional pocket springs, layers of mini tablet springs and deep layers pf natural fillings. Exclusively manufactured for us by Alexander and Cole, the mattress is upholstered in a 100 Viscose fabric and features 4 times the number of fillings found in other pocket spring models. As it39;s a premium mattress, only natural fillings such as wool, cotton, cashmere and silk are used and have the ability to regulate temperatures by drawing moisture away from the body. The spring interior is supplied by Agro, Europe39;s biggest supplier of mattress springs and consists of a core of 1000 springs in a king Size, with 1800 mini tablet springs on each side. Mini tablet springs are designed to instantly compress when pressure is applied, while providing the feeling of weightlessness. Tablet springs also help to reduce upholstery settlement. Housed in their own cloth sleeve and totally independent of any surrounding springs, the combination of tablet and traditional pocket springs offers piston-like support to each part of the body. A labour intensive and intricate process of side-stitching is performed by experienced craftsmen and applied to the mattress border using a long upholstery needle and high-tension twine. Reserved for top-end mattresses, the procedure strengthens the edge and prevents it from bowing out over time. It also increases the sleeping area by 20 for a comfortable night39;s sleep. The mattress is paired with our Lunar deep divan base that features a padded fabric exterior and silver shepherds39; castor as standard. The base also features a double thick platform top and extra support in the weight bearing areas to provide improved strength and durability. Should you require storage, the drawers come with extra strapping for reinforcement and ball bearing runners for a smooth gliding action. There39;s a wide range of traditional and contemporary fabrics and colours to choose from and a selection of headboards to add the finishing touch. Please Note: Headboard is not included.
