Ceanothus, commonly known as the Californian Lilac, is a striking shrub celebrated for its profusion of powder blue flowers that create a visually stunning, blue-hued display across the entire plant. For optimal growth, plant in moist, well-drained soil in a sunny location, ensuring protection from harsh, cold winds. This versatile plant can flourish as a standalone shrub or be trained to grow against a wall or fence. Each spring, prune the stems that flowered in the previous year, cutting back to within two or three buds of the woody structure. The Californian Lilac has been honoured with the RHS Award of Garden Merit. This product is supplied as three 9cm pots and includes growing and care instructions.
