Thompson & Morgan Hydrangea Vanille Fraise Shrub - 8cm Pot - White/Red
Thompson & Morgan
A garden classic, Hydrangeas are favoured for their easy-to-grow nature and resistance to most common garden ailments, adapting well to various soil conditions, making them a superb choice for shrubberies and borders. 'Vanille Fraise' is a remarkable cultivar, the result of extensive breeding trials. It boasts elegant, cone-shaped, satin-white flower heads that gradually transform into a delightful strawberry hue, maturing to a rich russet red. The upright red stems provide a striking contrast against the eye-catching green foliage, creating a display that enhances any garden or patio area. Blooming from July through October, it extends the colourful season in your garden. Plant in its permanent location when weather permits and water regularly until established. Hydrangeas thrive in a sunny or semi-shaded position, provided they are sheltered from harsh, drying winds. It flourishes in any fertile, moist, non-alkaline soil. Prune after flowering to maintain shape, cutting back the oldest stems to a few buds from ground level to promote larger flower heads. Caution: all parts of the hydrangea are toxic and can cause stomach upset if ingested. The foliage may also irritate skin allergies. Position: sun or semi-shade. Height: potentially reaching 2m (6ft) if left unpruned. Spread: potentially reaching 2m (6ft) if left unpruned. Supplied in an 8cm pot. Images are for illustrative purposes, showing expected results upon maturity; differing growing conditions may yield varied outcomes. The image may illustrate the supply, but this can vary due to seasonal changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
