Thompson & Morgan Potted Lime Tree - 2 Pack 9cm Pots - Evergreen Foliage & Fragrant Blossom
Thompson & Morgan
Enjoy the taste of home-grown limes, packed with vitamin C, with this delightful mini lime tree. Its glossy evergreen foliage creates a stunning backdrop for clusters of fragrant, waxy blossoms in spring. Perfectly suited for a conservatory or a bright windowsill, this tree can also grace a warm patio during the summer months. The citrus fruits take around a year to mature, offering a rewarding harvest for juices, jams, chutneys, or even freezing whole for use as refreshing ice cubes. Beyond their culinary uses, the attractive fruits also provide an ornamental display. For optimal growth, plant in a container or pot using a blend of ericaceous compost and a neutral, soil-based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Ensure the plant is repotted at its original soil level, firming well into the new container. Water generously and place in a well-lit area, away from cold draughts and radiators (4-12°C) - a conservatory is ideal. If frost-free, it can be positioned outdoors from May to October.Water freely during summer, misting the leaves daily to boost humidity and deter pests. Feed every two weeks with citrus plant fertiliser. Before frosts arrive, move plants back indoors. Reduce watering in winter, but avoid letting the plant dry out completely. Over or under-watering can cause fruit drop.Position: Full Sun or Partial Shade.Height if unrestricted: 1.5m.Spread if unrestricted: 1.2m.Supplied: 2 x 9cm Nursery Pot.Images are for illustrative purposes, showing expected results upon maturity.
