This extraordinary cultivar boasts silvery foliage with a woolly texture that literally gleams in the sunshine. Honey scented white flower spikes with mustard-coloured centres make a gentle contrast with the leaves, creating a truly elegant Butterfly Bush throughout summer. Buddleja 'Silver Anniversary' has a neat rounded shape and compact habit that won't become a nuisance in garden borders. It's virtually sterile too, so you'll never be plagued with unwanted seedlings. A superb semi-evergreen shrub for smaller gardens, patio containers and sunny borders. Plant in garden borders in any moist, well drained garden soil, in full sun or semi-shade. Alternatively grow in patio containers or pots using soil based compost such as John Innes No.3. Feed and water container-grown plants regularly. In spring, prune plants back to a permanent low framework of 3 or 4 buds from the base of the plant. Deadhead faded flowers to prolong the flowering season.
