Carrot ‘Resistafly’ F1 Hybrid brings together excellent flavour, chunky roots and notable resistance to carrot root fly, making it a reliable choice for gardeners seeking easy-to-grow, pest-resistant varieties. With a classic cylindrical ‘Nantes’ shape, smooth skin and crisp texture, these carrots are delicious raw or cooked and suit a range of dishes. Each pack contains 350 seeds, perfect for sowing in full sun, containers, or allotments, and offers the flexibility of successive sowing for an extended summer yield. Sow carrot seeds thinly at a depth of one centimetre in drills 30cm apart. Germination will take ten to 20 days. When large enough to handle, thin out the seedlings within each row to five centimetres apart. Where space is limited, growing carrots in containers will also produce a worthwhile crop. Water well to encourage germination. Once germinated, carrots should be watered only when necessary to keep the soil moist, as excessive water may encourage leaf growth instead of roots. During growth, the carrot roots may be earthed up to prevent green crowns from developing. Position: Full Sun. Height: Up to 30cm when fully established. Spread: Up to 15cm when fully established.
