A sophisticated variety of carnation which is the perfect hardy perennial for ground cover due to its fast and vigorous growth! This dainty carnation will produce flowers of blushing pink and cream with a tie dye centre, adding a fairy-like touch to your boarders and rockeries. ‘Micro chips’ has luscious green, dwarf foliage that rests below the free-flowering blooms.Sow February to April. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of between 18-20ºC (64-68ºF). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 14-30 days.Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots.
