This early-flowering sugarsnap variety is specially bred in Britain for its completely stringless pods, making them a joy to eat. The compact and neat plants are perfect for growing in containers, reaching a height of up to 75cm and a spread of up to 25cm. They produce clusters of mid-green pods that grow up to 8.5cm in length. Kelvedon Wonder peas boast excellent resistance to common diseases like powdery mildew, ensuring a healthier crop. Enjoy their deliciously sweet flavour, whether eaten fresh or cooked. Direct sow these seeds outdoors from March to June in moist, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Sow seeds 5cm apart and 4cm deep, with 75cm between rows, for successional cropping every 10 days. Support plants as they grow and protect from birds and pea moth damage. Regular watering and picking will encourage further yields, with harvest typically around 14 weeks after sowing.
