An easy to grow annual plant, Virginia Stock 'Mixed' is the perfect gap filler for your borders! Also known as Malcolmia maritima, these seeds produce blooms in a range of colours, including lilac pink and white, which blend together beautifully and exude a rich fragrance. Expect a stunning floral show just four weeks after sowing! With a long flowering period, blend with other Stocks for a stunning display.Direct sow Virginia Stock seeds outdoors where they are to grow from March to May. Choose a position in full sun on any well drained soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow seeds thinly, at a depth of 6mm (¼in) in drills spaced 15cm (6”) apart and cover the seed with its own depth of soil to exclude light. Water the ground regularly, especially during dry periods. Germination usually takes 14 - 21 days. When Virginia Stock seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out to 15cm (6”) apart.Water regularly until plants are fully established.
