Easy to sow and grow, these seeds are highly productive, even in dry weather, and are great for successional sowing to ensure a continuous supply. Sow outdoors in spring and summer in well-prepared, fertile, moist soil in sun or semi-shade. For autumn sowings, grow under cloches or in a cold greenhouse for overwintering. Sow seeds thinly at a depth of 1cm (1/2") in drills 30cm (12") apart. Thin seedlings to 30cm (12") apart when large enough to handle and protect with netting or fleece from birds and insects.
