Thompson & Morgan
Create your own green sanctuary with the Thompson & Morgan Herb Oregano 1500 Seeds Packet. Oregano, also known as Pot Marjoram, is a low-maintenance yet highly aromatic addition to any herb garden. This versatile herb is frequently featured in Mediterranean cuisine, and its dried flowers can also enhance flavour. To cultivate oregano, sow seeds indoors or under glass from February to June. Plant seeds 1.5cm deep in pots or trays filled with barely moist seed compost, and cover them with a light layer of finely sieved compost. Keep the seed tray in a propagator at a temperature of 16 to 21 degrees Celsius or place it in a clear polythene bag until germination occurs, which typically takes 14 to 21 days. Once seedlings are big enough to handle, transplant them into 7.5cm pots and continue growing them in cooler conditions. After the danger of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise the oregano plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before moving them outside. Plant oregano 30cm apart in well-drained or chalky soil, ensuring they receive ample sunlight. Product specifications include: Hardy Perennial, full sun position, height of 45cm, and spread of 45cm. Images provided serve as a guide for the expected maturity results; however, growing conditions may impact these results, and variations may occur due to seasonality changes.
