Enjoy a bumper crop of super-sweet corn with the Thompson and Morgan Early Xtra Sweet Sweetcorn F1 Hybrid Seeds that deliver cobs twice as sweet as standard varieties, perfect for boiling until tender and serving with a touch of butter. Easy to grow and ideal for sunny spots, these seeds reward you with a rich, sugary harvest from August to September, and their flavour stays fresh longer than other types so you’ll savour every bite. Each packet contains approximately 30 seeds, supplied with clear growing and care instructions, making it simple to start your own sweetcorn patch at home. Sow seeds mid-spring. Requires a fertile soil in a sunny position. Germinate at 20-30°C (68-86F) on the surface of a good, free-draining, damp seed compost in 7.5cm pots. Apply a layer of compost or vermiculite, one centimetre deep. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination, which usually takes six to ten days. Plant out after all risk of frost, 45cm apart in blocks to aid pollination. Product specifications: Position: Full Sun. Height: Up to 200cm when fully established.
