In areas lacking natural acidity, grow your Camellia in a patio container with ericaceous compost mixed with John Innes No. 3, ensuring it's placed in dappled shade. Water regularly until the plant is well-established, ideally using rainwater to avoid lime build-up. Feed occasionally with a fertiliser specially formulated for acid-loving plants. Protect from harsh winter winds and strong morning sunlight to prevent bud drop in early spring.Position in sun or semi-shade. Grows to a height of up to 300cm and a spread of up to 250cm.
