Thompson & Morgan Ipomoea Light Blue Star 1 Packet (35 Seeds) Light/Blue
Thompson & Morgan
Robust, fast growing and floriferous, the beautiful flowers of Morning Glory 'Light Blue Star’ open each morning to great the day. The fabulous light blue flowers have contrasting dark blue stars and are borne on plants reaching up to 3 meters in height. Ideal for trellises or in pots on the balcony, grow ipomoea in plenty of light but shaded from direct sun. Flowers appear from June until the first frosts – remove spent blooms regularly to encourage more flowers to form.Caution: toxic if eaten.Sow March to April. Soak seeds overnight in tepid water before sowing. Sow seed, 6mm (1/8in) deep in pots or trays of soil-based potting mix and cover seeds with a layer of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag and put in a warm place and keep at a temperature between 20-25C (68-77F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 7-30 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3”) pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12”) apart.Product specifications:Position: Full SunHeight: Up to 300cm when fully establishedSpread: Up to 180cm when fully establishedSupplied as 1x Morning Glory 'Light Blue Star' seed packet (approx. 35 seeds)Flowering period – July SeptemberImages shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
