It’s easy to grow your own annual flowers with African Marigold Seeds 'Lemon Mum'. This stunning variety boasts lemon-yellow, double Chrysanthemum-flowered blooms. It’s the perfect plant to add height, interest and a colourful display to borders or large containers all summer long. Culinary note: the citrus tasting flowers have many uses, try them in salads, sandwiches or seafood dishes too.Sowing time: March to April. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of between 21-25C (70-75F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 7-21 days.
