Thompson & Morgan Polemonium Boreale Heavenly Habit offers a dwarf habit, ideal for the front of borders and container gardening. These plants produce stunning clusters of violet-blue flowers, each with a distinct golden yellow eye, set against lush, deep green foliage. Enjoy vibrant blooms from June through August; regular deadheading encourages continuous flowering throughout the summer. To sow, plant seeds 1/16in (1.5mm) deep in quality seed compost from late winter to mid-summer. Germination typically occurs within 7-21 days at temperatures of 20-25°C (70-75°F), with cooler night temperatures aiding the process. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots. After they have well-developed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions before planting them out in late spring, spaced 30cm (12in) apart in a location that receives full sun and has moist, well-drained soil.
