Helianthus Annus Sunflower Mr Mars is a beautiful variety that produces purple to rosy-pink petals that are tipped in a contrasting cream colour. This flower is carried on a naturally dwarf upright Strout plants, making them ideal for cut flowers inside the home. Producing daily like heads that measure up to 15cm across they have a dark red centre, produced from purple buds, and complemented by the dark foliage. This variety is easy to grow and perfect for both adults and children to enjoy. This sunflower id pollen- free so ideal for the hay fever suffer. Grow in garden borders, beds, or containers. This species will flower from July to October if you deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Height:60cm (24”). Spread: 30cm (12”).Culinary note: some parts of these flowers are edible. Choose a position in full sun on well-drained soil which has been raked to a fine tilth.
