Thompson & Morgan Spinach Patton F1 - 1 Packet
Thompson & Morgan
Spinach 'Patton' F1 offers a hardy and highly reliable harvest of this popular leafy green. These seeds produce robust, upright plants with thick, dark green, slightly wavy leaves, perfect for both baby leaf and mature harvests. This quick-growing, bolt-resistant spinach variety excels in summer conditions and is also suitable for winter cropping in a cold greenhouse, making it a versatile addition to your vegetable patch. How to Grow: - Sow outdoors from March to July in fertile, moist soil in full sun or part shade. - For early and late crops, sow seeds under cover. - Sow seeds 1cm (½") deep in rows 30cm (12") apart. - Thin seedlings to 5cm (2") apart when large enough to handle. - Regular watering is essential to prevent bolting, particularly during dry weather. - Apply a mulch around plants to help retain soil moisture and keep weeds at bay by hoeing regularly. - Harvest leaves as needed for an ongoing supply or lift whole plants once mature. This variety typically grows to a height and spread of 30cm (12in) and matures in approximately 42 days.
