With fruits weighing between 8-12g and a Brix level of 8, they are ideal for snacking, salads, or adding a burst of colour to your dishes. This compact, basket and container variety reaches a height of approximately 30cm with a spread of 40-50cm, making it perfect for smaller gardens, patios, or window boxes. It requires no staking or side shooting, simplifying your gardening efforts. For added benefit, consider companion planting with marigolds, basil, chives, or mint to naturally deter pests. How to Grow: - For greenhouse cultivation, sow seeds from February to April. For outdoor growing, sow from March to April. - Sow seeds on the surface of free-draining seed compost, cover lightly, and maintain a temperature of 15-20°C until germination (which typically takes 7-14 days). - Once seedlings have developed two true leaves, transplant them into 7.5cm pots and keep them at a minimum temperature of 15°C. - Before planting outdoors, gradually acclimatise the young plants to outdoor conditions after the risk of frost has passed. - Space plants about 60cm apart in a position that receives full sun and is planted in fertile, well-drained soil. - Ensure regular watering and feed with a high-potash fertiliser as the plants develop. - Expect to harvest your delicious fruits from July to September as they ripen.
