Attract birds to your garden with the delightful Thompson and Morgan Sunflower Bird Table Flower Seeds. The sunflower Titan is remarkable for its enormous flower heads, which can reach up to 50cm (20 inches) in width, supported by sturdy stems. Once the flowers have faded, they transform into a natural bird table filled with seeds that can attract birds well into autumn. The mature height can reach up to 3.5 meters (12 feet). It’s best to plant seeds individually in small pots and grow them on a sunny windowsill. Starting in March, as roots emerge from the bottom of the pots, transplant them into larger pots for additional space. By mid-May, they can be transferred outdoors with a tall cane to provide support. Alternatively, seeds can be sown directly into the ground about two fingers deep in May. The flower serves as a bird table once its petals have dropped and the seeds become visible. A grown-up can assist in cutting the flower off and placing it on a surface where birds can access it. This allows you to enjoy watching birds feed on the seeds, which can also be harvested for personal consumption. Expect to see flowers from July to September.
