Sweet Pepper 'Sweet Crispy' F1 is a delightful variety producing medium-sized, vibrant red bell peppers renowned for their thick, crunchy walls and exceptionally sweet flavour. How to Grow: - Sow seeds on the surface of damp, free-draining compost. Cover lightly and germinate at 18-25°C (64-77°F), ideally in a propagator. - Once seedlings are large enough, transplant into individual pots and grow on in cooler conditions. - Transplant outside or under cover when the risk of frost has passed, spacing plants 45cm (18in) apart. - Harden off outdoor plants gradually over 7–10 days. - Keep the soil consistently moist and feed weekly with a high-potash fertiliser after fruit set. Mulching will help conserve soil moisture. - Taller plants may require staking for support. - For greenhouse cultivation, increase humidity by damping down surfaces. - Harvest the peppers by cutting with secateurs before the first frosts if grown outdoors. These plants reach a height of approximately 60cm (24in) with a spread of 30cm (12in), making them suitable for containers, grow bags, or well-prepared garden beds.
