These carrots can grow to a height of 30cm and a spread of 15cm, making them easy to cultivate and manage. Growing carrots from the Carrot Fly Free Collection is simple. Sow seeds thinly in drills spaced 30cm apart from March to July for early, maincrop, or forcing varieties. It is essential to ensure the soil is well-drained and located in a sunny area. Regular watering is necessary to keep the soil moist without becoming waterlogged, and thinning seedlings to 5cm apart should be done once they are large enough to handle. For later sowings, protection with fleece or netting can help deter carrot fly infestation. Harvest early varieties after 9 weeks and main crops after 12 weeks, storing them in a cool, dry place for up to 4 months.
