Papaver orientale ‘Red Rumble’ is a stunning perennial that is sure to captivate all who see it.In May, plump, pendant buds unfurl into large, luxurious flowers with vibrant scarlet petals resembling crumpled silk. Each bloom features dark blotches on the petals, accented by a deep central boss, and can reach up to 15 cm in diameter. Standing tall on sturdy stems, these magnificent blooms rise above clumps of finely divided, bristly foliage, creating a bushier habit than many other varieties. Papaver orientale ‘Red Rumble’ makes a dramatic statement during the main flowering season. To encourage a second wave of blooms, cut back the plant after its initial display.
