Iris pseudacorus ‘Variegata’ is a striking variegated Yellow Flag Iris, perfect for ornamental garden ponds and damp borders. In spring, its creamy-yellow and green striped foliage provides decorative interest, gradually giving way to bright golden yellow flowers that take centre stage. Hardy and less vigorous than the species, it is well suited for controlled planting in garden ponds or bog gardens and has earned an RHS AGM for its performance.Growing InstructionsPlant in fertile, damp, acid or neutral soil enriched with well-rotted organic matter. Position in full sun or semi-shade. Suitable for boggy borders or shallow pond margins with the crown up to 15cm below water level. Maintain consistently moist soil and water during dry periods. Divide overcrowded clumps in autumn after flowering. Mulch around the base in spring to retain moisture. Cut back pond-grown plants to just above the water surface in autumn.
