A perennial evergreen shrub with fragrant leaves which can be picked at any time and used in flavouring meat or fish dishes, also for bouquet garni. Oregano is also a great plant to grow to attract bumblebees to your garden. Harvest May-November. Height 100-150cm (39-59").Growing InformationGrowing instructions given on packet.Sowing InformationSow thinly direct into finely raked, moist warm soil at a depth of 6mm (1/4"). Germination takes 12-40 days. Thin seedlings or transplant to 38cm (15") between plants. Grows best in poor, well drained soil in a sunny position. Plants can reach a height of 150cm (5") but regular picking and pruning can restrict to 60cm (2").
