Thin resulting seedlings to 23-80cm (9-12") between plants, removing any competing weeds. Grows best in well cultivated soil in a sunny position. Can be grown as 'cut and come again'; salad leaves in containers (cropping from 28 days) or as a fully mature plant. Harvest seed when flower heads turn brown and hang stems upside down indoors.
